BVSD1"These mats are great for creating obstacle courses. First graders worked in groups to create an algorithm in Blockly to move Dash from one hedgehog to the next without touching any of the cups. With the mats it's easy to move obstacles around to create new courses easily. The grid lines helps students to calculate distances and practice adding tens. I also put pictures sticky notes on in squares with specific actions they are supposed to do in each square.
